Life Raft is a bi-annual feminist zine that strives to challenge the gender binary.
Why the name? The life raft was invented by a woman, Maria Beasley, in 1882 and is still used by women today to stay afloat in a sea of patriarchal bullshit.
Life Raft was created and produced by two working artists, Charlotte Thurman and Tara Booth. Do you have an essay, a poem, a piece of art, or a completely badass-patriarchy-smashing comment you want to send us? Excellent. We are always taking submissions: firstname.lastname@example.org
